3 months and 3 things

You know those people that say “Oh WOW, I can’t believe it’s already November 6th? Where does the time go?”

Well… I’m one of those people so brace yourself…

Adam: “Oh WOW, I can’t believe it’s already November 6th? Where does the time go?”

But really. We’re now into Q4 and the year is almost over.

I live in a part of the country that rarely (like almost never) gets snow. And we got snow! Which is another reminder that like it or time keeps ticking by. Winter is here. And it’s cold outside!

But all is not lost. (Except for the warm weather. That’s lost.)

In fact… the realization that time waits for no one is actually great news.

Because time is an equalizer. And something that levels the playing field.

Nobody gets an extra 25th hour each day (and shortchanging your sleep is a short term hack at best).

So my question to you this week is…

“You have 3 months left until 2018… what are you going to do with them?” (Good mentors ask questions after all)

Are you going to carry on business as usual and wait until January 1st, 2018 to start chiseling away at your goals?

Or are you going to spend a couple hours now writing them out, strategizing, planning, and building a course of action so when the new year comes you won’t just be ready…

You’ll already be half way there!

Marketing is about 3 things:

  1. Doing the right things
  2. In the right place
  3. For the right people

Get that right and business is good! (Alternatively get it wrong and business is a slog, a struggle, and a stressful situation)

How can you be sure to get it right?

3 tips coming at ya.

  1. Focus on your people (put the utmost emphasis on making your ideal customer or client FEEL understood)
  2. Never stop learning (keep studying, growing, reading, and applying what you learn to your business)
  3. Get help (you don’t need to do this alone. And you shouldn’t. Get help from someone who’s been there before and can lend an objective view on what you’re doing. AKA, a marketing mentor.)
