I get asked the “what’s best” question a lot.
And while “what’s best” does depend on your unique business, market, industry, and customer base… there are a few proven strategies that seem to work better in certain industries.
(The fact they work so well comes down to a number of factors including consumer behavior, competitor actions – or inactions, and congruency between the 3M’s – Market, Message, and Media)
…and in 2019 choosing the right strategy is going to become even more important as competition increases, costs rise, and people brace for an inevitable recession…
So what’s the best marketing strategy for your business in 2019?
Here’s the list:
-Local Businesses: Facebook AND YouTube Video Ads (use both… the targeting and retargeting is amazing)
-E-commerce Businesses: Email marketing (so few are doing this right and the opportunities are huge)
-“Expert” Businesses (ie coaches, consultants, speakers): EBM (educational based marketing) ideally with video that retargets those who engage (ie watch) with more content and CTA’s
-Solopreneur, Startups, and Micro Businesses: content marketing of all shapes and sizes (organic social, video, email, cold outreach, blogging, you name it…). Your advantage here is the ability to humanize and connect.
-Digital Marketing Agencies: multichannel growth marketing (ie leveraging text, audio, and video across 3 primary channels, namely… Facebook Ads, YouTube Organic (and MAYBE Ads if you know what you’re doing), and Email Marketing)
